Tour Summary & Highlights
Tour Itinerary
We will exit Saigon toward the east and hit the offroad sections within 1 hour from the start. We will only cross the highway to head into rubber plantations and lots of nature among small paved roads and occasional red dirt roads, just perfect for pictures. We have an optional offroad challenge that may be opted out of and then we head onto the 55th highway for the afternoon. The 55th highway is recognized for how scenic it is. We arrive to Bảo Lộc town through winding backroads that offer several viewspots of an amazing greenery. We stay in Bảo Lộc for the night in a beautiful villa on top of the hill.
Standard Itinerary
Starting from Bảo Lộc, we will visit minority ethnic villages with stunning valley views, then proceed to the Tà Đung road for expansive lake and hill panoramas. Lunch by the lake offers a picturesque setting. Continuing northward, we navigate backroads with optional off-road challenges. As we near our destination, we’ll traverse long paved routes through vast rice fields and hills. The day ends in Buôn Ma Thuột with a delightful dinner of ethnic minority cuisine, perfect for a well-deserved rest after a day of adventure.
Optional Route
Break “Day 2” into two days (recommended for conservative riders.)
Day 2 of our typical itinerary requires considerable energy and stamina, featuring challenging off-road sections and narrow backroads. For those seeking a more relaxed pace or wanting extra time for photos and relaxation, we highly recommend opting for an additional day. During this optional extension, we’ll spend an afternoon and night at a picturesque wooden villa nestled in a valley beside a tranquil stream. The natural beauty of this province is extraordinary, making it an unforgettable destination. On the following day we catch up with the regular Day 3’s afternoon.
Leaving the renowned city of Buôn Ma Thuột, we take to the backroads, heading northeast towards Gia Lai province. Today’s journey predominantly unfolds on well-paved roads, traversing some of the least densely populated parts of the highlands. This aligns seamlessly with our destination situated in the middle of nowhere, boasting only one decent accommodation option, which serves as our overnight stay. The ride offers extended stretches on excellently paved roads, providing unobstructed views of the surrounding mountains throughout the journey.
If the tour ends on Day-5
If the tour continues
In the morning, we dedicate time to visit the expansive grounds of the largest Imperial Tomb. Following this visit, we set our course westward towards the Laos border and the iconic Ho Chi Minh Trail. Our ride leads us through quaint villages, far removed from urbanization. Upon reaching the Ho Chi Minh Trail, we revel in the freedom of open and perfectly meandering roads. As the day draws to a close, we visit the Khe Sanh combat base, the site of the bloodiest battle of the Vietnam War.
